In this article, we’d be seeing a step by step guide on how you can block a lost or stolen UBA ATM card in minutes. The United Bank for Africa (UBA) is one of the biggest Nigerian banks with millions of customers in Nigeria and subsidiary banks in over 20 countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Kenya and France.

How To Block UBA Atm Card
No one prays to get their ATM cards stolen, but when it happens, we have to act swiftly in order to protect our funds.
We can block our ATM cards for several reasons, including:
• When it gets missing
• When it gets stolen
• When someone else uses your card to perform a transaction
• When we want to avoid unsolicited debits. I change my ATM card every 2 months to avoid getting surprise debit alerts from online subscription platforms that I might have signed up to in the past.

Block ATM card using email:
Depending on the urgency, you might want to block your card by sending an email to the official UBA customer service.
As of the time of writing this post, their official email is [email protected]. I advise you to confirm it on the official website before sending the email.
NOTE: If the card was stolen, I don’t recommend this method, as you might not get a response very quickly.
Block ATM card by contacting LEO:

You can chat him up on; Messenger, Whatsapp, Instagram, Apple Business Chat and Google Business Chat.
When you open your Messanger, you click on the options and select Self Sevice.
Then select the Block Card option (Option H)
You’ll then be directed on what to do next.
Block ATM card through your UBA mobile app:
Considering the issue at hand, I’d want you to have different options. The next tutorial in line is on to use the UBA mobile app to block your UBA ATM card;
Open your app
Click on Others and select Self Service
Select Block Card and proceed with the onscreen instructions.
Block ATM card through the UBA USSD:
I will advise you to use this method if you’re in a haste. Just dial *919*10# from the phone number you used while opening your account. Kindly note that this method will cost a ₦5.00 service charge.
Also note, this code works for Nigerians, you’ll have to visit the UBA website to check your country’s code.
